Description:

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the scheduling, design, project economics, budget planning, construction oversight, commissioning, PSSRs, and handover procedures of wellpads, central facilities, compressor stations, process management changes, water infrastructure for FRAC, and pipeline construction. The position works in the Houston Corporate office location but will require frequent field visits.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for gathering and analyzing data, PI&Ds / PFDs, and production reports
  • Assist with standardization of routine construction process and workflow management of wellpad and central facilities
  • Responsible for analyzing project costs, preparing budgets, forecasts, and spending lookbacks
  • Responsible for equipment and operational safety compliance such as, but not limited to, pressure relief valves, Central Facility Safety System Cause & Effect, safety, and MOV valves, hazardous electrical classifications, Class 1 Division 1 & 2 NEC code, area monitors and egress points
  • Responsible for daily coordination and overseeing company and contract construction project managers performing construction activities
  • Responsible for developing the construction scope of work for bidding and internal design review
  • Responsible for producing daily reporting and other documentation for management
  • Will be required to interfacing with multiple teams inside of the business, such as Drilling, Completions, Production Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, Land, and HSE
  • Must be willing to travel to the field locations periodically as scheduled by the Facilities Manager and as required by Operations
  • Responsible for identifying and delivering optimizations opportunities throughout all the production facilities
  • Responsible for delivering facility projects from inception to commissioning
  • Responsible for creating new and modifying existing designs for surface facilities and pipelines
  • All other duties and tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor or manager

Qualifications & Skills

The qualifications and skills listed below represent those required to complete the essential duties listed above successfully.

Education/Experience

Possess a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or petroleum, or a minimum of 5 years upstream oil and gas experience.

Other Skills

Strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to work without a direct supervisor

Ability to work with ambiguity and in a fast-paced environment.

Computer Skills

Complete knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will have supervisory responsibilities.

Environmental & Physical Requirements

The work environment is primarily in an office setting. May work around machines with moving parts and objects, working closely with others, or working alone, working extended or irregular hours.

The physical requirements of the job are primarily sitting at an office desk using a computer and other office tools but may require the ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, climb stairs, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize, perceive depth, lift, and carry up to 25 lbs.

The equipment used in performing the primary job function includes but is not limited to computers and related equipment, calculators, copiers, fax machines, and a telephone.
